The restaurantant and food, value for money was great! The rooms of the hotel are old fashioned and need refurbishment from my point of view. The restaurant was 5 stars lots of Organic food, the hotel 2 stars.

- the bed under a very low part of the ceiling with - considering the scratches I was not the only one - the permanent risk of knocking your head by staying up.
- Insects in the room - I know is nature and you cannot do anything about it, but from 3 days I had 2 days with bugs. First day 2 stink beetles, second day a HUGE spider directly on the pillow! (Yes, I am a bit arachnophobe. Still, I do not like to kill any insects, but I did not have any other chance since there was NOTHING - not even a glass - to trap them and throw them out of the window. Bad karma for me now but sleeping with that "beauty" was too much for me. Even after I was a bit afraid, that it could be more of them in the room and had a very hard time to fall asleep.
- dinner took FOREVER. Almost 2 hours for 1 dish and 1 drink... First had to wait over 30 minutes to get asked what I wanted and then the rest to get it. I did not even get the drink before. The man working at night was not "that friendly" (at least to me...). Why did I wait so long? Well, if you do not have a car and are staying at this hotel in a little town outside Vienna with not much around (sort of a residential area with only the hotel there), if you are hungry and want to get something to eat at night, you stay and wait... As almost all over these towns outside the city, everything closes very early. Specially in weekdays.
We visited Hotel Holzinger last week. It was a wonderful experience. The rooms were very clean and the food at the hotel restaurant was really amazing! Dagmar, one of the owners, was so helpful when our trip was cut short due to an emergency back home! We will definitely visit again!

Pretty good hotel, friendly staff, quiet rooms (ideal for work / business trips). Generous and complementary breakfast, stable Wifi connection, amazing kitchen - all the classics are impeccable: the Schnitzel, the Tafelspitz, and my personal favorite, the pork medallions marinated in pepper sauce.
It is very far from Vienna , around 20 km,but it is easy to find ,because is visible from the road. The rooms are clean, and everything was provided if you require. The problem was that we have booked room for couple but we got two separated bed that could not be moved. The breakfast was fresh and rich and the staff was polite.
